Shopping online with us is a lot like shopping at a retail store you browse our catalogue of products for the items you’d like, put them in a shopping basket, and complete your purchase at the check-out area. The only difference is, we’re open 24 hours a day – seven days a week, …and you don’t have to put on shoes and leave the comfort of your home to shop!
So read on and find out how you can enjoy the shopping experience with Our Online Store.
Step 1. Make Your Product Selections
The first thing to do is browse our shop for the items you’d like. As you browse you’ll see ‘Add/Buy’ link. Once you’ve found the first product you’d like, simply add it to your online shopping basket by clicking on the ‘Add/Buy’ link.
Just like in a retail store, the shopping basket is a holding place for your items until you are ready to purchase them. You can view the contents of your basket at any time by clicking on the ‘View Basket’ link on your shopping page. And, just like a retail store, you can always remove items from your basket and put them back on the shelves.
Helpful Hint: Sometimes it is helpful to widen your search to an age category above or below the one you looking at. If you think you have found a product that definately should be added to another age category, I would love to hear your feedback. firstname.lastname@example.org
Step 2. Proceed to the Check Out
Once you’ve decided upon your selection and checked your basket, you proceed to the Ordering Stage by clicking “Check Out”. At this point you must decide whether you want to register with us or just place your order without registration. Registration means that you don’t need to complete your details again if you order from us in the future. This action takes you to where you must decide upon the shipping and payment method, You can pay online by entering your credit card information (Paymate). You may also pay by Internet banking or by sending us a cheque. We then need some extra details to complete the order. You enter your personal information, your name and address so we know where to send the goods.
Step 3. Submit your Order
Once your order is submitted you will receive a confirmation by email. We appreciate that ordering online the first time can be a little confusing so if you have any problems or are unsure of any aspects of the ordering process please contact us and we’ll help you out.

SECURITY AND PRIVACY The information that you supply to Kids Love Gifts is for the sole purpose of providing you with the products you have ordered, updates on products and with the best possible customer service. Only you the Ordering Customer will receive pricing, invoices etc electronically direct to your email address. No paper copies are sent with the Gifts unless requested. Kids Love Gifts will not willingly disclose/supply or sell your information to any third parties. KLG will use the information you provide to send you a newsletter regularly (if Subcribed), but you are free to unsubscribe to this at any time by using the unsubscribe option within our newsletter. If you have any concerns about the privacy of your purchase or any other detail that you provide to us, please contact us and we can discuss how we ensure your information is kept confidential.
How do I know my Credit Card will be Secure? Once you have placed your Order and Confirmed you will be taken to a Secure Website called PayPal. “PAYPAL” is a secure Payment Service that uses a secure Certificate and is committed to total security of your data. We do not get to see any of your Credit Card details at Kids Love Gifts. Go to www.paypal.com if you would like to read more about their Services.
CREDIT CARD is the fastest – processing can take 1hr or up to 2 working days.
What does “Pending” mean when I pay by credit card? It takes approximately 1hr to 2 working days for the PayPal payment service to authorise your credit card. This is to avoid any fraudulent activity and for funds to deposited. It is a standard procedure. If a card is rejected, the payment service will notify you and me immediately.
How does internet banking work? When you choose this option on the order form and submitted, a return email will be sent to you with our bank account number for you to deposit into. Once payment shows in our account, your order will be sent off. INTERNET BANKING – processing takes 1-2 working days if funds are deposited immediately after order, longer if deposit is delayed.
How does cheque payment work? When you choose this option on the order form and it’s submitted, I will email you my postal address for the Cheque to be send to and once cleared your order will be sent off. CHEQUE – allow up to 10 working days if posted within 24hrs of order, longer if cheque is delayed in posting.
How long will Delivery take? Gift will be send as soon as possible either the day you make the order or the next working day once your payment has come through. It all depends on what payment option you choose. (unless the occasion is a long time away and we will deliver closer to the date for you, with your permission, so it doesn’t arrive too early).
*CREDIT CARD is the fastest (1hr -2 working days for processing) once approved we will process and send your order. *INTERNET BANKING (1-2 working days for processing)-once payment has been viewed in our account we will process and send your order. *CHEQUE – allow up to 10 working days if posted within 24hrs of order, longer if cheque is delayed in posting.
Courier DELIVERY TIMINGS – do not include day of Order
– Delivery to the North Island takes 2-3 working days (rural extra) – Within South Island 1-2 working days delivery – Regional (outer Christchurch) 1 working day delivery, – Christchurch City next working day delivery. – **Rural and Outer Islands delivery may take 1-2 days extra
Urgent Overnight Delivery is available but Order must be in by 1pm NZ time (Mon-Fri) to make Courier pickup and only for Main Cities – Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.
**Please note our Courier does not deliver on weekends or public Holidays. If any order is received after 1pm Friday it will normally not be processed and sent until Monday, if paid by credit card.
** Kids Love Gifts will always endeavor to sent your gifts promptly and on time but Courier delivery timings and Courier delays are out of our control **
How much will postage cost? Postage is inclusive of GST. Packaging, Gift wrapping and Greeting card are complimentary and FREE.

Courier is the fastest way and has an excellent tracking system if by chance a package goes astray (not that we want this to happen!).
*Please note our Courier Company does not deliver on weekends unless by request. If any order is received after 1pm Friday it will normally not be processed and sent until Monday, if paid by credit card (unless it is by Urgent Overnight delivery(main Cities), Friday Order for Saturday only).
Lay-by Terms If you wish to use our Lay-by service we require a 10% deposit payable at the time you place your order. We then ask for regular monthly payments, in equal installments, for the duration of the Lay-by. Sometimes we can agree on a different payment arrangement so please talk to us first.
In most cases you may have up to 6 months to pay off your Lay-by. But if you want your order delivered earlier you must pay off your Lay-by at least 14 days before your chosen delivery date.
You have the right to cancel your Lay-by at any time before the end of the Lay-by period. If you cancel your Lay-by please contact us and tell us and we will refund you the amounts you have paid on your Lay-by less a $20 administration fee.
We may cancel your Lay-by if you do not keep to the agreed terms (e.g. you do not pay off your Lay-by in time, or you do not make your regular payments). If we do cancel your Lay-by we will refund you the amounts you have paid on your Lay-by less a $20 administration fee.
To establish a Lay-by plan, simply create your order as per normal in the checkout and choose the “internet banking” option for payment method and note “Lay-by Plan” in the comments section. Your first payment should equal 10% of the order total being the initial deposit.

We will hold the Gifts in storage for you (no need to hide it from your child) You may be able to afford a higher value gift saving over a longer period of time You are guaranteed to get it delivered before Christmas knowing the challenges of courier deliveries etc at that time You can add other gifts to your initial order at any time Sending gifts Overseas? We would be very happy to organise and send gifts for you Overseas. (We send via NZ Post and give you 2-3 shipping options to chose from). Items sent overseas are not tracked unless requested.
To do this you have 2 easy options,
1/ you can place an Order push the Confirm button at the bottom of the page and then DON’T PAY and we can get back to you on shipping costs for your Order and then you pay for your complete Order before we send. If you choose this option, no shipping costs will be available to choose from on the website at the time of Order, we will email you these.
2/ Email us with your gift list and Country it’s going to and we can get back to you with a selection of shipping costs and you can pay before we send.
Need Work Functions or Santa gifts for the kids? Catering for all size of work functions for Santa gifts or any occassion is not a problem. Let us sort it all out for you.
You can either give us a $ limit to spend on each child or you can choose your own gifts. All we need is full names (as sometimes there are two Sarah’s etc) also Ages and Genders of each child so we get the wrapping correct.
It couldn’t be easier for you, the gifts will all come free gift wrapped, named and ready for Santa to give out and the kids just to open. What happens if there are ordering delays? We usually do not place an item on the website unless we have it in stock. But life throws us little challenges unexpectedly, so if by chance due to popular demands on a product, we may experience delays in fulfilling your order. We will email you in the first instance and give you the option of waiting, re ordering something similar or refund given. At Kids Love Gifts we do our best to have your gift delivered with minimum stress and maximum speed.
What if my gift is faulty? Kids Love Gifts will ensure that all gifts sent are not faulty, to the best of our knowledge when leaving the premises. Goods sold here are covered by the Fair Trading Act.
